Help support family of Baby Cameron
All of us at the United States Modified Touring Series were heartbroken to hear that some members of our racing family suffered a great loss this holiday season. One of the most well-liked USMTS drivers, Steve Whiteaker Jr., lost his 16-month-old nephew, Cameron, to drowning on Saturday while the family was celebrating Christmas day.
As a way to help out financially with some of the expenses their family will be facing, for the next 8 days and 9 hours, the USMTS will donate $8 to the Whiteaker family from all sales of shirts and hoodies available in the USMTS Fan Shop at www.usmts.com/shop.
A limited number of the 2016 collection remains. Short- and long-sleeve shirts, clothes for kids and women, and even event shirts from the Featherlite Fall Jamboree are still available in limited quantities and sizes while supplies last. Shipping is just $10 no matter how many items you order, and purchases are shipped the same day for fast delivery to your doorstep.
There will be a benefit held in Cameron's honor this Saturday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at Competition Sound located at 4330 S. Staples in Corpus Christi, Texas. BBQ chicken plates will be served for $7 and donations will be accepted. All proceeds will go to Cameron's family to help cover funeral costs and other related expenses.
The family has also set up a GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/35j4jp4 where folks can make personal donations to help out.
