About Scott
Scott Bintz is on a mission to make people’s lives better. A good kind of crazy, Scott is a serial e-commerce entrepreneur, founder of RealTruck.com, RedHeadedRebel.com, RHRBrew.com, RHRSwag.com and more. Scott advises brands on e-commerce strategy, serves on a number of boards and does a few limited speaking engagements. Scott is an experienced expert in e-commerce, business strategy, digital marketing and company work culture building. He has taught at the University of Jamestown.

Scott was raise by his Mom, a full-time waitress, in a 12’ x 60’ trailer. Graduated from alternative high school in Minot, N.D., in 1989 and from Minot State University with a BA in Economics in 1993 thanks to a Pell grant and the North Dakota Army National Guard. The monopoly board was certainly not in his favor. This hard-working mother did everything she could to put Scott in the best possible position to be successful. It worked, and this book is dedicated to his Mother, Mary Bintz.

Why Scott wrote the book, in his own words:

I am writing this book for a few reasons. First to share the RealTruck story for those who created it and share how how our guiding principles transformed it into unbelievable success. Secondly, I wrote it for all the entrepreneurs and business folks out there that are like me- not always the seen as the smartest in the room, and who don’t have access to the best colleges and resources. I wrote it for those who aren’t leading or working at the world’s greatest or next best “fill in the blank.” You know the rest of us. The “normal” average everyday folks who want to create, build, grow and learn. The owners, leaders, managers and employees at the 27.9 million small businesses in the US. And the future entrepreneurs like me, some of the 20.4 million students attending a “regular” college or university, who have lots of self-doubt that can be overcome.
