3rd Annual Fall Jamboree starts Tuesday at Hamilton County Speedway

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (Sept. 25, 2001) - The waiting for the 3rd Annual Fall Jamboree is about over as drivers will start pulling into the Hamilton County Speedway in less than a week. Entries have been pouring in and a record number of cars can be expected.

Fans that have not taken care of getting a reserved seat for the 3rd Jamboree may want to do so as tickets have been selling very well. A reserved seat will guarantee you a seat no matter which nights of racing that you attend. To reserve a seat stop by the USMTS office or call 515-832-7944.

Practice will get underway at 6:30 pm on Monday night and drivers will get many chances to get their car all set for the Jamboree which will actually have racing starting on Tuesday night.

On Monday night fans will be able to stop out to the track as there is no charge to watch practice.

On Tuesday night fans will get racing action as the local econo class along with the hobby stocks and modifieds take to the track. Heat races, B-mains and A-mains will be run for these classes.

On Wednesday night the same classes will run as will the USMTS manufacturers challenge race. This race will take all the top manufacturers cars in heat races and features. A lot of the top racers throughout the U.S. will be on hand for this race.

On Thursday night the hobby stocks and modifieds will run all there last chance races and the Stock Cars and Open Modifieds will take to the track. These two classes will run heat races. Each driver will run in two heats with up to fifteen cars in each heat race. Drivers will be awarded passing points for these races.

On Friday night the Stock Cars and Open Modifieds will once again run heat races. The stock cars last chance races will also be run. Also running for the first time as part of the jamboree will be the late models. A very good field of late models is expected. The late models will run heat races and a cash dash. The top twelve cars will be locked into the main event.

On Saturday the biggest night of racing all main events plus some last chance races will be run. This is the night that most of the $150,000 purse will be paid out. The econo class will run for $500 to win with the hobby stocks winner taking home $1,200. The modified class winner will take home the $2,000 paycheck. The Stock Car winner will pocket the $2,200 paycheck. The last two races of the evening will see the late model winner take $4,000 and the Open Modified winner $7,000.
