Kelly Shryock posted impressive finishes last week in open wheel modified competition across the Midwest. Kelly reached victory lane once last week in the final week of the USMTS National Tour, as he won the $2,000 top prize last Saturday night at the Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, KS. Shryock also wheeled his #3 to a pair of runner-up finishes at the Southern Iowa Speedway and the Thayer County (NE) Speedway. The talented pilot out of Fertile, IA also posted fourth place efforts at the Speed Bowl (NE) and the Humboldt (KS) Speedway. His worst effort of the week was a seventh place finish at the Junction (NE) Motor Speedway. Overall, Kelly won five times during the 16 race USMTS National Tour and posted 14 Top Five and 15 Top Ten finishes. Shryock is taking some much needed time off this week, but will jump back behind the wheel this weekend. He is scheduled to compete in a trio of $2,000 to win USMTS events. The weekend kicks off this Friday night at the Murray County (MN) Raceway. The racing action continues on Sunday at the Dodge County (MN) Speedway.
