| Regional Points Funds: Regional points funds are based on 10 races or more. If fewer than 10 events are completed, the points fund will be based on the percentage of completed events (9 races = 90% points fund, etc.). If a driver is absent from any one event in a region, that driver's payout will be one-half of the posted amount for the finishing position. If a driver is absent from two or more events in a region, that driver will be paid a percentage of races competed in, based on the initial one-half amount for missing a single event.
The Hunt Points Funds: The Hunt for the USMTS Casey's General Stores National Championship powered by Swan Energy will be comprised of the final 18-20 events of the season and the champion will be crowned at the 13th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree at the Deer Creek Speedway in late September. Just like the regional points funds, if a driver is absent from any one event in The Hunt, that driver's payout will be one-half of the posted amount for the finishing position. If a driver is absent from two or more events in The Hunt, that driver will be paid a percentage of races competed in, based on the initial one-half amount for missing a single event. As a bonus for perfect attendance, if a driver qualifies for The Hunt and competes in every event but fails to finish among the top 15 in points, that driver will get $500.
Top Dog Bonus: Beginning with the third event in each region, drivers will be guaranteed a minimum of $400 against winnings at each event where that driver is among the top-10 in points for that region. The Top Dog Bonus will begin with the first race in The Hunt. The Top Dog Bonus is not in effect for non-points events. Drivers must have perfect attendance in the region to be eligible. Provisionals: At each event in 2011, one driver may be added to the rear of the “A” Main field as a provisional starter. The provisional will be awarded to the highest-ranked driver in points for that region (or The Hunt) that does not qualify for the "A" Main. Each licensed driver will be eligible for one provisional per region and up to two provisionals in The Hunt, with a second provisional becoming available after the tenth event. Attendance Bonus: This is a special award for any driver making as many USMTS events as possible. This will start with the first race of the year and finish with the last race of the year, and includes points races only. When signing in for an event, if you have attended a certain number of races with perfect attendance, you will be awarded the bonus money – miss just one race and it’s gone for the season.
1 to 15 events = $0
16 to 30 events = $50
31 to 40 events = $100
41 or more events = $200
Do the math … if you show up at 70 straight events, you’ll earn an extra $7,750. This bonus will be in addition to the Top Dog Bonus or any other payouts!!! |
