Chisholm remains perfect in 21st Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree

Jim Chisholm returned to Deer Creek Speedway's victory lane Friday night with his second Out-Pace USRA B-Mod win in as many tries in the 21st Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree.

The win was the 11th of the season for the 16-year-old back-to-back track champion from Osage, Iowa, and added $1,650 to his bank account with bonuses provided by Red Tail Tackle.

After crashing just four laps into Thursday's feature race, Dan Hovden sat on the pole for Friday's contest and led the opening lap, but that would be the last as Chisholm slid past and cruised the final 19 orbits to secure the win.

Sitting second in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points battle for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods presented by Pace Performance, Hovden held on to finish second in the race while current and defending national champion Kris Jackson had mechanical issues and had to be pushed off the track before the race started.

Arnold Motor Supply Iron Man Challenge points leader Jared Boumeester finished third in the main event with Kadden Kath beating Kylie Kath to the flagstand to claim the fourth spot. A.J. Hoff, Cole Denner, Zach Benson, Ben Moudry and Ryan Maitland rounded out the top ten.

The 21st Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree concludes Saturday with another complete program of USMTS Modifieds and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods which will battle for $1,500 to win and go three-wide for the green flag start of the 30-car main event.

The pit gate opens at 3 p.m., grandstands open at 4, opening ceremonies begin at 5:45 and racing gets underway at 6 p.m. For fans unable to attend in person, all three nights of the 21st Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree will be broadcast live at RacinDirt.TV.

The Deer Creek Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval which sits on 60 acres with one of America's most popular state-of-the-art racing complexes and an adjoining campground. The track is located 11.3 miles south of I-90 at exit 209 on US 63 (0.7 mile north of SR 16). The physical address for mapping is 25262 US Hwy 63, Spring Valley, MN 55975.
