Ramirez attends Featherlite Fall Jamboree at Deer Creek
Friday night found Derek Ramirez in action at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.) for the 22nd annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree. With a stout field of 70 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries on hand for the two-day event, Ramirez jumped up one spot in his heat race to pick up the win. Starting the $7,000-to-win opening night feature in ninth, Dereck faded one spot in the 40-lap affair to register a 10th place finish.
The following night, Dereck came in third in his heat before placing second in his B-Main behind Lucas Schott. Rolling off 21st for the $10,000-to-win finale, Ramirez advanced forward nine spots in the 50-lapper to place 12th.
Dereck sits in second in the latest USMTS point standings.
