Top-5 finish in USMTS Cajun Clash at Ark-La-Tex
Friday night saw Cade Dillard hop behind the wheel of his Joel’s Auto Sales No. 97 Modfiied for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned program. Drawing 42 cars for the eighth annual Cajun Clash, Cade charged forward three spots in his heat to finish second behind Zack VanderBeek. Rolling off seventh for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Dillard jumped up three spots to place fourth behind Zack VanderBeek, Rodney Sanders, and Brooks Strength with Joe Duvall coming in fifth.
The following night at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) for the I-20 Showdown, Dillard scored a second place finish in his heat behind Dereck Ramirez, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the main event. With $3,000 on the line, Cade was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on the 10th lap.
