Fifth-place finish in Modified at 81 Speedway
After Mother Nature wiped out three of the four scheduled USMTS events, Brandon Sheppard invaded 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.) on Saturday evening to pilot the Ramirez Motorsports No. B5 Modified for the second annual USMTS Modified Spook-tacular. With a heat race win placing him sixth on the starting grid for the $10,130-to-win A-Main, Sheppard improved one spot in the 40-lap affair to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Jake O’Neil, Terry Phillips, Jason Hughes, and Tanner Mullens to the checkers.
