Outlaw Mini Mod Series Presented by Black Iron Manufacturing returns to the Deer Creek Speedway

This Saturday, August 16 the Outlaw Mini Mod Series Presented by Black Iron Manufacturing returns to the Deer Creek Speedway.

It will be their second appearance at the speedway, the first took place on May 23, 2023. Nathan Kilwine of Glenville, MN topped a 26-car field to take the win.
The series started off the year with five different winners in five shows. Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI hosted the opener on May 3 and Tyler Jonsen of International Falls won that event. Chateau Speedway in Lansing, MN was top two on May 23. Joey Robel of Charles City, IA picked up the win. The next night on May 24 the series shifted over to the Worthington Speedway in Worthington, MN. Matt Grobe of Austin, MN scored the win over a big 32-car field.

On June 7 the series invaded the Hawkeye State and the Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, IA. Ben Kraus of Britt, IA took the win at that event. On June 8, the series moved to the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, IA where Wyatt Medlin picked up his first series win.

A huge field of 38-cars were on hand on June 28 at the Boone Speedway in Boone, IA. Matt Grobe became the first repeat winner on 2025. The following night on June 29, the series returned to Mason City where Tyler Jonsen nabbed his second series win of the year.

About one month later the series returned to action on July 25 at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, IA. Ben Mattick of Mantorville, MN won for the first time in 2025. On July 26, the series moved further south to the Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, IA where Joey Robel claimed his second series win.
In the next two series races, Florence Drost of Rushmore scored back-to-back wins at the Murray County Speedway in Slayton, MN on August 8. Then backed it up the next night at Worthington.

The Deer Creek stop will be the final race for the 2025 series. Going into this weekend (there is a race at Mississippi Thunder Speedway on Friday) Nathan Kilwine is the point leader with a 24-point advantage over fellow Glenville, MN driver Brent Tweed. Ben Kraus of Britt, IA sits 28-point back in third with Ben Mattick 36-points behind in fourth and Matt Wallin is fifth 41-points back.

Kraus is the four-time defending Outlaw Mini Mod Series champion with titles in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
