SLMR Return for 2 day show

A big weekend of racing is on tap at Deer Creek Speedway. Super Late Models return for a two-day show with the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series. Here is a look at the series.

About The Series:
The Malvern Bank Super Late Models is a touring series that brings Super Late Model racing to tracks across Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, Missouri, Wisconsin and now Minnesota!

The SLMR Series was created in 2008 by dirt late model hall of famers Joe and Steve Kosiski. In 2017 Jay Burdic and the Malvern Bank who had been supporters of the series came on board as the title sponsor.
Late in 2019 the series acquired the rights of the long-running I.M.C.A Summer Series for Late Models. When that took place, a West and East series were created with several “dual” series events scheduled each year. In 2025 there are 38-events on the schedule.

Making History:
The two-day event at Deer Creek Speedway will make series history. It will be the first time the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing Series have stopped in the Gopher State of Minnesota.

More SLMR Tidbits:
Here is a look at the point standings going into the three-race swing over Labor Day weekend. Dylan Thornton of Orcutt, CA leads the East Series points over Mt. Vernon, Iowa driver Chad Simpson by 36-points. Dallon Murty of Chelsea, IA sits third 64-points back and Jesse Sobbing of Malvern, IA is fourth 66-points out.

There have been three Dual series shows with both regions combined. Thornton has won two of them and Sobbing took the other win.
