USMTS Invades Mississippi at Hattiesburg Speedway and Mitchell’s Motorplex

(Eastaboga, AL – April 8, 2026) – The best Modified drivers in the nation are set to invade the Magnolia State this weekend, as the Summit Racing Equipment United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) rolls into Mississippi for a two-night swing featuring stops at Hattiesburg Speedway and Mitchell’s Motorplex.

Dubbed “Power. Grit. Glory.”, the USMTS tour brings some of the toughest competitors in dirt Modified racing to two premier venues, each providing a unique challenge and atmosphere for drivers and fans alike.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, April 10 at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The “Mississippi Modified Mayhem” event is expected to draw a strong field of USMTS national contenders alongside top regional talent, all battling for supremacy in one of the most competitive touring divisions in the country.

Gates will open Friday afternoon with a full program on tap, including qualifying and feature action for the USMTS Modifieds. Fans can expect a thrilling night of wheel-to-wheel racing as drivers chase valuable national points early in the 2026 campaign.

The action then shifts just up the road to Mitchell’s Motorplex in Perkinston, Mississippi on Saturday, April 11, for the second leg of the weekend doubleheader with another full night of USMTS competition.

Saturday’s program will feature a complete racing card highlighted by the USMTS Modifieds, with gates opening early and racing scheduled for the evening hours. Fans attending can expect a festival-like atmosphere combined with the thunder of high-horsepower Modifieds battling on the edge.

Race fans across the region are encouraged to make plans to attend both nights of action, as Hattiesburg Speedway and Mitchell’s Motorplex welcome the USMTS for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of dirt track racing.
