Traffic Alert for I-80 Speedway

By USMTS PR (Greenwood, NE) -- The State of Nebraska restarted work on Nebraska Highway 63 just south of Interstate 80 at exit 420 on March 19, 2018. The [project was supposed to have Highway 63 closed south of Church Road to Alvo until this past fall, but the project is running behind schedule and is now estimated to be completed this September. Drivers and fans should find alternate routes.

Alternate routes include coming across Church Road to Highway 63 just south of Interstate 80 or taking Highway 50 north to Highway 66 and then coming through South Bend and getting on Interstate 80 at the Mahoney State Park Exit (exit 426).

The I-80 Speedway is located one block north of Interstate 80 at exit 420, halfway between Omaha and Lincoln. The physical address is 13909 238th St, Greenwood, NE 68366. the entrance to the track is at 13631 238th Street (west side). For more information, visit I-80speedway.com or call (402)-342-3453.

The next event on the USMTS calendar is Wednesday, July 17, when the series returns to the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, for the 12th Annual USMTS Summer Classic presented by Keyser Manufacturing. From there, the action shifts to the 9th Annual Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals presented by Swift Springs on Friday and Saturday, July 19-20, at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb.

This year's crown jewel will feature a two-part "A" main on Friday paying $1,000 to win each segment, followed by Saturday's finale which pays $8,000 to the winner and at least $500 to every main event starter. Not to mention our dancing partner for the weekend-the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, which will be gunning for a $53,000 top prize in their final showdown of the weekend.

The 'Silver Dollar' will carry even more weight as it is the final event of the season in both the MSD Performance USMTS Mid-American Series and Spike Hardcore Energy USMTS Northern Lights Series.
