Pair of Top-10 finishes in USMTS doubleheader at RPM Speedway

Rodney Sanders invaded RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas) on Friday night to kick off the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) season with the two-day Texas Spring Nationals. Drawing a stout field of 71 Modifieds, Rodney secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 10-lap heat race victory. The following night for another $10,000-to-win A-Main, Sanders picked up a heat race win over Tyler Davis, which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the finale. Unable to close the distance on race-leader Dereck Ramirez late in the 50-lapper, Rodney settled with a third-place finish, trailing Ramirez and Tyler Wolff across the line with Johnny Scott and Kale Westover completing the Top-5 finishers.

With the first two events in the books, Rodney is currently in third in the USMTS point standings.
