Top-10 finish in Spring Challenge finale at Hamilton County

Rodney Sanders was one of 49 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries on hand at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) on Friday evening for the inaugural Spring Challenge. Following a fourth-place finish in his heat race, Sanders secured his spot into the opening night feature with a second-place finish in his B-Main behind Tanner Mullens. Improving two spots in the 35-lap affair, Rodney recorded a 13th-place outing.

The following night, Rodney jumped up one spot in his heat race to place second behind Joe Duvall. Earning the 10th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Sanders clawed forward three spots to register a seventh-place finish.

Rodney is currently in third in the latest USMTS point standings.
