Drake Troutman competes with USMTS at Humboldt Speedway

Drake Troutman trekked to Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kan.) on Friday afternoon to test the waters with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) for the Summit King of America XI presented by RacinDirt. In a stout field of 72 Modifieds, Drake started the night off with a heat race victory but was penalized in post-race tech for illegal height on his spoiler. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Troutman logged a 19th-place outing.

The following night, Troutman’s 11th-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main. Locking the Top 4 into the $15,000-to-win King of America XI main event, Drake fell short with a 19th-place finish.
