On May 23, 2015 The United States Modified Touring Series made another Memorial Day weekend stop at the “Mecca Of Modifieds” Deer Creek Speedway.
Forty-seven drivers signed in and Brent Larson. Derek Ramirez, Brandon Davis, Zack Vanderbeek and Lucas Schott topped heat race action. Rodney Sanders and Keith Foss won the two B-mains.
“Mr. Waits” Brad Waits started outside of row one, got past polesitter Nate Wasmund and led all 40-laps to win his second straight Southern Minnesota Spring Challenge. Waits won by a little over a half second over Lucas Schott. Rodney Sanders stole third from Brent Larson on the final lap.
Nate Wasmund finished out the top five while Kelly Shryock, Derek Ramirez, Zack Vanderbeek, Keith Foss and Dan Ebert finished sixth thru tenth.
