LANSING, Minn.—Heavy rain in Southern Minnesota has forced track and series officials to pull the plug on Friday’s USMTS event at the Chateau Raceway.

On Saturday, the action moves to the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., for the 14th Annual Minnesota Spring Challenge presented by A&A Electrical & Underground.

A full night of racing is on tap with the USRA Iron Man Series featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-pace USRA B-Mods, along with WISSOTA Street Stocks joining the stars and cars of the United States Modified Touring Series.

Pits open at 2 p.m., grandstands open at 3:30, hot laps begin at 5:30 and the green flag waves at 6 p.m. Adult general admission tickets are $18 and kids ages 12 and under are $5.

Race fans can pick up coupons good for $2 off adult admission at Casey’s General Stores locations in Lime Springs (Iowa), Preston, Rochester and Stewartville. To find the location nearest you, visit www.caseys.com.

Then on Sunday, May 29, the 9th Annual “Donnybrook in Decorah” takes place at the Upper Iowa Speedway.

Presented by Weis Buick GMC, Sunday’s blockbuster event will also feature both classes of the USRA Iron Man Series plus USRA Hobby Stocks.

Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and hot laps begin at 6 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:30. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and children ages 5 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $35.
